11 things I wish you knew about my child-free marriage

Let’s just get this out of the way: I've been married for 13-plus years and don't have kids. My husband and I don't want them, but there’s a lot more to it than that. Before you judge us, or say, "There's still time to change your minds," there are a few things I want you to know about my child-free marriage.

I'm not married but I like reading about childfree marriages bucking the trend of "that's what marriage is for". I hate the phrase "start a family". Unless you are a single orphan you must have a family of some sort! Parents, siblings, cousins, spouse, etc!

In the Regency, it was called "setting up your nursery". I like that formulation a lot better.

That is much better! Not one I've yet come across in my regency era novel reading so that's going in my vocabulary for future reference and historical era writing :)
